Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator hoistway formable in an existing multi-story building after construction by using a simplified and low cost means. SOLUTION: This elevator hoistway 1 for multi-story building having at least one hoistway frame 7 extending through at least one of story floors 2 and 3 and defining the boundary of hoistway through-openings 4 and 5 in the story floors 2 and 3 for forming the vertical movement path for an elevator to be installed can be formed in an existing multi-story building after construction by using a low cost means without almost requiring a construction labor. The hoistway through-openings 4 and 5 can be covered by a load supporting floor structural body 8. By this, particularly in a one family dwelling house, the space of the elevator hoist can be used not exclusively for the elevator, for example, can be used as a living space. The hoistway frame 7 itself serves as an interface between the buildings 2 and 3 and elevator retainers provided for transmission of a force.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device of an elevator system which does not necessitate the disassembly of the elevator system when the elevator system is transported and is assembled at a position of a building. SOLUTION: This transportation/assembly frame 1 enables the assembly of a whole elevator system 32 at a factory in advance. Moreover, the transportation/assembly frame 1 has such length that it can be stored in a standard container for transportation. For this reason, it can be transported to any desired place simply by a railroad, a ship, and a truck to protect the whole elevator system 32 from damage in the optimum condition merely by devoting the minimum time and effort for packing it. When it is returned to its original place and stored, the transportation frame 1 can be folded down, and a plurality of transportation frames 1 can be piled up to save a space.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix an elevator cage simply and release the fixation to/from an elevator shaft at a desired position easily. A support unit 3 consists of a support wheel 10 in each end part of a support shaft 9 and a clamp device 11, and friction force of the drive wheel 8 in contact with the track 5 and the support wheel 10 is generated by the clamp device 11. An equipment for fixation 13 is arranged in each side part of a lower yoke 4. An elevator cage can be connected at a desired position of a travel path in such a manner that it can be released from the track 5 by the equipment for fixation 13 at the time of assembly work, maintenance work, or both works.

A static drive device is installed in the top combined with the head module 2, or placed in the bottom combined with the base module 13, and comprises one or two drive module 12, which are integrated with a module type system in this method. This is applied widely in relation to carrying loads and speed by properly selecting the number of the drive module 12 and hanging mode and motor output.

Abstract: An elevator hoistway (1) for a multi-storied building which, to create a vertical travel path for an elevator installation, extends through at least one story floor (2,3) and has at least one hoistway frame (7) which bounds a hoistway penetration aperture (4, 5) in the story floor (2,3) is to be post-constructionally created in an existing multi-storied building with little building effort and inexpensive means in that the hoistway penetration aperture (4,5) can be covered by means of a load-bearing floor structure (8). In this way, and especially in one-family houses, the volume of the elevator hoistway (1) can be used for non-elevator- specific purposes, e.g. as residential space, until the point in time when an elevator is subsequently installed. The hoistway frame (7) itself serves as an interface between the building (2,3) and elevator fastenings which may be provided for the transmission of forces.
