Abstract: A machine frame (1) with two side members (6) at its ends comprises support arms(7,8), which are pivotably mounted in half-round bearing supports (9). The bearing supports (9) can be arranged on differently high pedestals (20), which results in different inclined positions for the machine frame (1) and thereby variable looping angle (.beta.) at the drive pulley (2) and cable spacing (a) between the cage cables (15) and the counterweight cables (16). Furthermore, the deflecting roller (3) is mounted in laterally displaceable bearing plates (5), wherein the deflecting roller (3) can in addition still be inserted above or below the side members (6). The variable position of the deflecting roller (3) likewise has an effect on the looping angle (.beta.) and the cable spacing (a). The combination of the two possibilities of adjustment in respect of inclined position and deflecting roller position enables the enlarged adaptation of machine frame (1) to different cases of application.
