Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved system and method for constituting/managing video information on plurality of monitors controlled by a single device such as a computer. SOLUTION: This invention makes a user able to conveniently list and operate plurality of windows, icons or TV channel selections (appearing as the windows on a TV monitor). The windows, the icons and the TV channel selections are easily moved between the plurality of monitors controlled by the single device such as the computer. The monitor can be a cathode-ray tube(CRT) or a liquid crystal display device(LCD) 150 and movement between the monitors is achieved by using a 'transfer' area operated on the specified monitor by the icon, the window and the TV channel selection. The icon, the window or the TV channel selection present in the area is transferred from the present monitor to a second monitor. In the case that many icons are used, it becomes a means for arranging, integrating, managing and displaying the icons by an organized method.
