Abstract:
A perishable integrity indicator system (42) includes a RFID transponder (14)and a perishable integrity sensor (16). The RFID transponder includes a RF integrated circuit coupled with an antenna. The sensor monitors the time and temperature of the perishable. A freshness determining module receives time- and temperature-dependent measurement data from the perishable integrity sensor (16) and determines a current freshness status. A communications interface to the RFID transponder (14) permits RFID reader (40) to retrieve current freshness status data corresponding to the freshness status determined by the freshness determining module. The system further includes a power management module (32) .
Abstract:
A shelf life inference system comprising a container for a plurality of items. The container has coupled to it a tracker operative to read the ID label on each item and to track the exit from and the return to the container of each item separately and to calculate the freshness status of each item upon return to the container.
Abstract:
A product integrity indicator system, comprising: (a) a radio frequency transponder module including a RFID integrated circuit having a first memory, the radio frequency transponder module further including an antenna; (b) at least one sensor configured to monitor time, temperature or other sensor data related to the condition of a product, (c) said system having a second memory for storing sensor data; and (d) a communications interface for coupling the at least one sensor to the RFID integrated circuit, wherein the at least one sensor is operative to communicate with the RFID integrated circuit by way of the communications interface.
