Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to using protected beacon frames in wireless communications. A device may determine a beacon management element of a beacon frame body and may determine an integrity group key identifier of the beacon management element, wherein the integrity group key identifier is associated with a basic service set (BSS). The device may determine, based on the integrity group key identifier, a management integrity check (MIC) field of the beacon management element. The device may generate a beacon frame including the beacon frame body. The device may send the beacon frame.

Abstract: Provided herein are apparatus and methods for Wi-Fi network profile verification. An apparatus for a wireless communication device includes: a memory; and processor circuitry coupled with the memory, wherein the processor circuitry is to: encode a verification sequence in a probe request for transmission to an AP; decode, in response to the probe request, a probe response received from the AP to obtain a first verification result; determine a second verification result based on the verification sequence and a verification password (VP) obtained from the AP; and determine whether a verification for the AP is successful or not based on the first verification result and the second verification result, and wherein the memory is to store the VP. Abstract: Techniques are disclosed that can be implemented as a system configured for image matching-based pointing and/or selection from information presented in an image displayed by a projection device. A pointing device configured as described herein may be pointed at a target portion of an image displayed by a projection device and allowed to capture an image inclusive of that target portion. In turn, the captured image data may be compared with data pertaining to the original displayed image. The resultant pointing location data can be used to generate one or more pointing indicators within the original image, and the projection device may display the resultant annotated image on screen, in some cases in real time and/or with precision resolution of a single pixel. A subsequent user selection can be made based on the known location of the pointing indicator. The techniques provide for more native human-machine interaction than existing approaches.

Logic to decode the encoded personalized ID and associate the personalized ID with the service provider. And logic to request, from an advertisement device that transmitted the first GATT advertisement.

Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to synched group key rekeying. A device may determine a first security key used for group-addressed management frames. The device may perform a security key rekeying to use a second security key in place of the first security key. The device may cause to send the second security key to a first station device of one or more station devices. The device may cause to send a first beacon frame comprising a switch announcement information element (IE) associated with the second security key. The device may cause to send a second beacon frame, wherein the second beacon frame does not comprise the switch announcement IE. The device may determine to switch to the second security key based on the switch announcement IE.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are described to encode, by a first station (STA), a polling signal for periodic transmission to a second STA during each air activity instance of a plurality of air activity instances. The first STA detects an interface between a MAC layer and a software stack of a communication protocol is in a low-power state. The communication protocol is associated with a communication link between the first STA and the second STA. An empty packet from the second STA is decoded. The empty packet is received in response to the polling signal transmitted during an air activity instance of the plurality of air activity instances. The periodicity of the periodic transmission of the polling signal is adjusted based on the detected low-power state and the decoded empty packet.
