Abstract: Often when there is a glare on a display screen the user may be able to mitigate the glare by tilting or otherwise moving the screen or changing their viewing position. However, when driving a car there are limited options for overcoming glares on the dashboard, especially when you are driving for a long distance in the same direction. Embodiments are directed to eliminating such glare. Other embodiments are related to mixed reality (MR) and filling in occluded areas.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, articles of manufacture and methods for face augmentation in video are disclosed. An example apparatus includes executable code to detect a face of a subject in the video, detect a gender of the subject based on the face, detect a skin tone of the subject based on the face, apply a first process to smooth skin on the face in the video, apply a second process to change the skin tone of the face, apply a third process to slim the face, apply a fourth process to adjust a size of eyes on the face, and apply a fifth process to remove an eye bag from the face. One or more of the first process, the second process, the third process, the fourth process, or the fifth process adjustable based on one or more of the gender or an age. The example apparatus also includes one or more processors to generate modified video with beauty effects, the beauty effects based on one or more of the first process, the second process, the third process, the fourth process, or the fifth process.

Abstract: An embodiment of an electronic processing system may include a 2D frame which corresponds to a projection of a 360 video space, and a component predictor to predict an encode component for a first block of a 2D frame based on encode information from a neighboring block which is neighboring to the first block of the 2D frame only in the 360 video space, a prioritizer to prioritize transmission for a second block of the 2D frame based on an identified region of interest, and/or a format detector to detect a 360 video format of the 2D frame based on image content. A 360 video capture device may include a contextual tagger to tag 360 video content with contextual information which is contemporaneous with the captured 360 video content. Abstract: One or more apparatus and method for compressing xvYCC or sRGB color to a narrower color gamut. Embodiments may be utilized in processing images/video image sequences provided in a wide gamut color space for display in standard RGB color space. In further embodiments, an sRGB or xvYCC compliant input is compressed to a gamut narrower than sRGB. Embodiments where a narrow output color gamut lacks a fully-defined 3D color space, semi-fixed-hue gamut compression may be performed by adjusting parameters provided to a fixed-hue compression module capable of mapping 3D color space representations between well-defined gamuts.
