In the drive electrode layer, of the plurality of drive electrodes, an overlapped area where a specific drive electrode with the longest length of the connected wiring is smaller than an average overlapped area of other drive electrodes.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance touch sensing accuracy.SOLUTION: A touch sensing device includes: a drive electrode layer having a plurality of drive electrodes arranged side-by-side in an array direction in a stripe pattern; touch sensing electrodes facing the drive electrodes to form electrostatic capacitance therebetween; and a touch-sensing unit which feeds a touch-sensing drive signal to the drive electrodes and senses a position of an object in the proximity of a touch-sensing area with the drive electrodes and touch-sensing electrodes based on detection signals from the touch-sensing electrodes. The drive electrode layer is structured such that width in the array direction of terminal drive electrodes located at least at one edge in the array direction thereof is greater than width in the array direction of the drive electrodes other than the terminal drive electrodes.
