Abstract: A signal processing device includes an elongation coefficient calculation circuit receiving a first image signal including a red pixel value, a green pixel value and a blue pixel value, and determining an elongation coefficient value with respect to one frame based on the first image signal, and an image signal processing circuit receiving the first image signal and the elongation coefficient value. The image signal processing circuit includes an image signal conversion circuit converting the first image signal into a second image signal including a red pixel value, a green pixel value, a blue pixel value and a white pixel value, an elongation processing circuit elongating the second image signal based on the elongation coefficient value, an image signal analysis circuit analyzing the elongated second image signal, and an adjustment circuit adjusting the elongated second image signal.

Abstract: A control device calculates output signal values to the respective pixels for each row based on pixel signal values. The control device includes a line integrating unit that calculates a line integrated value by totaling the pixel signal values for the respective pixels within a line pixel group, a frame integrating unit that calculates a frame integrated value by totaling the output signal values for the respective pixels of a former arranged pixel group for which the output signal values have already been calculated in the same display frame, a power consumption adjustment term determining unit that calculates a power consumption adjustment term based on a frame threshold that is a predetermined threshold for power consumption, a line integrated value, and a frame integrated value, and an output signal generating unit that calculates output signal values based on a pixel signal value and the power consumption adjustment term.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel on which first pixels and second pixels are alternately arranged in the columnar direction, and a display controller configured to input a first image signal and to display an image. The first pixels and the second pixels are arranged such that first sub-pixels are adjacent to third sub-pixels in the columnar direction. The display controller is configured to execute conversion of converting the input first image signal into a second image signal, vary the luminance values of the third sub-pixels in the second image signal based on the luminance values of the third sub-pixels in the first image signal which become unable to be represented in the display panel.

Abstract: A display device include a division circuit dividing an input image from a plurality of pixels into a plurality of regions based on the feature quantity of each of the plurality of pixels, a luminance reduction rate calculation circuit calculating the reduction rate of luminance of each region based on the surface area of each of the plurality of regions, an image generation circuit generating output images by correcting the luminance of each of the plurality of pixels based on the reduction rate calculated by the luminance reduction rate calculation circuit, and a correction circuit correcting labels assigned to each of the plurality of pixels by the division circuit. The division circuit is configured to divide the input image by assigning different labels to each region of the plurality of pixels.
