    Abstract: A composite doctor blade comprises a steel support band configured with (Wa) a width and thickness (Ta) suitable for mounting in a blade holder, with tensile and yie ld strengths suitable for a selected doctoring application. A wear resistant strip of hig h speed steel is integrally joined to an edge of the support band.
