Abstract: An article orienting method and apparatus to effectively orient articles fed in random fashion into substantially uniformly oriented condition. The apparatus includes a vertical passage (2), into which the articles (B) are put in desired order. Upwardly directed fluid flow is generated in the vertical passage, which fluid flow acts on the article within the passage to maintaining the article in the floating condition with capability of free rotation. By the effect of the fluid flow, the articles put in random attitude adjusted and oriented in a uniform direction. After completion of orientation, the fluid flow is terminated for removing the oriented articles in oriented condition.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a space necessary for an article moving device and to easily control the same by vertically moving an article holding device by an elevator device, and rotating the article holding device by a rotating device while keeping its rotary shaft in the vertical direction. SOLUTION: An article holding hand 25 is formed by a linear motor 22 for controlling the horizontal movement in the X direction and the Y direction, an elevating cylinder for controlling the elevation in the Z direction, and a rotary motor 24 for controlling the rotation in the θ direction while keeping the rotary shaft in the vertical direction. Whereby the bottles 1 can be horizontally moved and controlled in the X direction and the Y direction, and vertically in the Z direction, and further rotated and controlled in the θdirection while keeping the rotary shaft in the vertical direction. A moving range of the article holding hand 25 is limited within a range defined by a fixed outline of a platen 21, and the large space is not needed around a handling device. Further the computing and the control can be easily performed by using a camera 16 and the handling device when the bottles 1 are aligned.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve manufacturing yield by measuring the incoming time of an operation response signal on many times of a work operation after a trigger signal showing the charging of a material to be worked is generated and obtaining the optimum value of time with a small defect generation rate. SOLUTION: A control signal generation circuit 12 generates a control signal controlling a box making device 1 based on the trigger signal from a sensor 6, which a trigger signal reception circuit 11 receiver, and generates the signal to a control circuit 3. A response signal reception circuit 13 receives the operation response signal from the box making device 1 and a control means 14 controls the control signal generation circuit 12 based on output from the response signal reception circuit 13 and the trigger signal reception circuit 11. The control signal generation circuit 12 controls the generation timing of the control signal so that time (t) until the response signal reception circuit 13 receives the operation response signal from the reception of the trigger signal by the trigger signal reception circuit 11 becomes within a time range which is set (t0 ±Δt: t0 is the optimum value of time with small defect generation rate).

A main gate valve 19 is arranged in a part bypassed by the bypass pipe in the product liquid introduction pipe so that the turbidity of the cleaning liquid, which is in a stable state after the bypass gate valve is opened and closed, is measured by the turbidimeter 23 and it is so controlled that at least one of the main gate valve 19 and the bypass gate valves 21, 22 is always in an opened state.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To correctly detect the turbldity of a fluid flowing through a piping by installing a by-pass pipe in a piping where a fluid flows, and disposing an opened and closed gate vale and a turbidlty sensor in series to the by-pass pipe. CONSTITUTION:Washing medium discharge lines 80, 81, 82, 83 where a washing medium flows and by-pass pipes 85, 86, 87, 88 are installed, and opened and closed solenoid valves 93A, 93B, 94A, 95A, 95B, 96A, 96B and turbldity sensors 89, 90, 91, 92 are arranged in series to the by-pass pipes. Gate valves 44, 45, 46, 47 are opened to guide a fluid in a piping to the by-pass pipes 85-88, and subsequently, after the gate valves 44-47 are closed, the turbidity of the guided fluid is detected by the turbldity sensors 89-92. If the gate valves 44-47 are closed, the fluid guided into the by-pass pipes 85-88 is put in the stationary state, so that no babbles exists in the fluid. Thus, the turbidity of the fluid can be detected correctly without any influence of bubbles by the turbidity sensors 89-92.
