    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyamide resin composition having low evaporation of plasticizer and giving a molded article free from surface tackiness and having excellent flexibility, by compounding a polyamide with a specific compound as a plasticizer. CONSTITUTION:The objective polyamide resin composition is produced by dry- blending or melt-kneading (A) 100pts.wt. of a polyamide resin having a number- average molecular weight of preferably >=10,000 and (B) 0.5-20pts.wt., preferably 1-15pts.wt. of a compound of formula I (A is oxyethylene or oxypropylene; m+n is 0-8; X is group of formula II, S, SO or SO2) as a plasticizer. The composition has low evaporation of plasticizer and gives a molded article having excellent flexibility and free from surface tackiness.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crosslinking agent which is used for producing a polyurethane foam, is a low-viscosity liquid at room temperature, excellent in handleability, and has high reactivity, and a process which makes it possible to quickly produce a flame-retardant polyurethane foam excellent in mechanical properties such as compressive strength.
    SOLUTION: The crosslinking agent for producing a polyurethane foam contains a bisphenol A derivative represented by formula (I) (wherein R
    1 is H or methyl; and (m) is the average number of oxyalkylene molecules added and is 1 to 3) and a dialkanolamine compound represented by formula (II) (wherein R
    2 is H or methyl; R
    3 is a 1-18C linear or branched alkyl or a 2-18C linear or branched alkenyl; and (n) is the average number of oxyalkylene molecules added and is 1 to 3). The process for producing a polyurethane foam comprises reacting a polyol composition containing the crosslinking agent and a polyol component with an isocyanate component in the presence of a foaming agent and a catalyst.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which has excellent antistatic properties, good mechanical strength, and good moldability, and is suitable for, e.g., electrical and electronic equipment housings on which duct is apt to be deposited, by incorporating a specified antistatic agent into an aromatic polycarbonate resin/ABS resin composition. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. synthetic resin composition (A) consisting of 30-99wt.% aromatic polycarbonate resin and 70-1wt.% ABS resin is mixed with 0.5-5pts.wt. antistatic agent (B) containing both an alkylbenzenesulfonate of formula I (wherein R is an 8-22C straight-chain or branched alkyl; M is an alkali metal) or formula II (wherein R is the as R ; M is as defined above) and a polyethylene wax having acidic groups, thereby giving the title composition. The incorporation of component B can give a composition having improved antistatic properties without substantial reduction in the physical properties of composition A. The title composition thus obtained is suitably used for, e.g., electrical and electronic equipment housings and cases on which dust, etc. are apt to be deposited.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyamide resin composition which can give a molding free of surface stickiness and rendered very flexible, by mixing a specified p- or o-hydroxybenzoic ester with a polyamide resin. CONSTITUTION:An ester of p- or o-hydroxybenzoic acid with a 12-22C branched alcohol (e.g., 2-ethyldecyl p-hydroxybenzoate) is added in an amount of 0.1-30 pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. polyamide resin. The plasticizer obtained by using said branched alcohol can give a molding free of surface stickiness, is lowly volatile and has a marked flexibilizing effect, so that a polyamide resin of excellent flexibility can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily make the surface of a synthetic resin conductive even when the shape thereof is complicated by bringing a synthetic resin molded body into contact with a solution of ferric chloride in a specific solvent and subsequently exposing the surface to pyrrole or the like. CONSTITUTION:Ferric chloride anhydride or ferric chloride hydrate is dissolved in a solvent, wherein surface tension is 35dyn/cm or less at 25 deg.C and solubility of ferric chloride anhydride or ferric chloride hydrate is 1.0wt.% or more at 25 deg.C, in an amount of 1.0wt.% or more. A synthetic resin molded body composed of nylon or modified PPO is brought into contact with this solution and, thereafter, the surface of this synthetic resin molded body is exposed to pyrrole, thiophene, furan or a derivative thereof. By this method, even when spray is difficult because of the complicated shape of a synthetic resin, the surface of the synthetic resin can be easily made conductive.
