Abstract: A mold cavity is shaped so that the difference between the maximum and minimum shrinkage of the outer dimension of the body section of the molding relative to the cavity size is 0-18%, preferably 1.4-18% when molding high density polyethylene (HDPE) and 0-8% when molding polypropylene (PP). Independent claims are included for a blow molded product and a molding process. Preferred Features: A label is attached inside the mold. Only labels which shrink after product demolding are used.

Abstract: Layout includes a number of prim. resin feeders radiating from one main duct and a number of sec. feeders leading from the prim. feeders to the inlets of the mould cavities. Each prim. feed has a temp. regulator and similarly each sec. feed has temp. control. Four main feed runners pref. radiate from the centre feeder. The number of runners can be greater or smaller. Subrunners lead from these feeders to the respective mould cavities. Each main runner has a capacity of more than one casting fill and its subrunner has a smaller cross-section so that its pressure loss at least equals that in its main runner. ADVANTAGE - Enables a number of mould impressions to be uniformly filled. Maintains min. temp. difference between the resin fillings. Produces excellent finishes on the castings. The mouldings concerned vary extremely little in relation to their weight and dimensions.

Abstract: A multi-cavity mold has flow-distribution adjusting heaters provided for respective ones of main runners branching from a common channel so as to correspond to a plurality of cavities. The amount of resin charged into the cavities is made uniform from one cavity to the next by independently controlling the heaters. Sub-runners leading respective ones of the main runners are respectively provided with heaters for adjusting gate finish. The gate finish and moldability are improved by independently controlling these heaters. The main runners hold enough resin for at least one shot, and pressure loss in the sub-runners is made equal to or greater than pressure loss in the main runners.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a molding of uniform transfer inexpensively in a short molding cycle by controlling the cooling efficiency of a temperature regulating water by partially changing the heat conductivity of the wall surface of a temperature regulating water passage for cooling the surface of a cavity formed in a set of split molds. SOLUTION: A molding metal mold 1 is constituted of a set of splits molds comprising fixed metal molds 10 and movable metal molds 20. For example, a part to be cooled relatively weakly is a peripheral part in a cavity, especially the peripheral part on the side of a stamper 40, and a part to be cooled relatively strongly is the inside part in the cavity. In the outermost passage 13c in the temperature regulating water passage 13 of the fixed metal mold 10, an insulating material 14 is arranged on the side toward a stamper 40 in order to make lower than the heat conductivity of the wall surfaces of the passages 13a, 13b on the side of the inside to be cooled strongly. In this way, the cooling efficiency of the temperature regulating water is decreased, and the surface temperature distribution of the cavity 30 is controlled. As a result, a good transfer can be done even in the peripheral part.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To always mold a molded piece a constant quality regardless of the fluctuation of the physical property (esp. flowability) of a resin. CONSTITUTION:An injection pressure waveform is found from injection pressure data in a processor 35 by sampling output signals of an injection pressure sensor 31 in a sampling circuit 33. In the injection pressure waveform, a constant- pressure injection process is judged if an injection time is fluctuated, and a constant-speed injection process is judged if a maximum value of an injection pressure is fluctuated. A set temperature of a temperature setting device 46 is changed in accordance with an injection time fluctuation and a maximum injection pressure value fluctuation in the constant-pressure injection process and the constant-speed injection process, respectively. Heaters 51-54 are controlled through temperature controllers 41-44, whereby a resin temperature is controlled. In this manner, an injection time or a maximum injection pressure value is always kept nearly constant, and a resin flowability is kept substantially constant.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the aimed shape of a molding even when the cooling time in a plastic molding process is shortened by a method wherein a mold is formed on the supposition that the outer volume of the molding finally shrinks in the range of a specified percentage of the volume of the cavity of the mold. SOLUTION: A mold 1 is formed on the supposition that the outer volume of a molding finally shrinks smaller than the volume of the cavity part of a mold l for blow-molding a bottle as a thermoplastic resin hollow molding by 5.8-13.5%. In this case, when a HDPE(high density polyethylene) is employed as the thermoplastic resin, the mold l is formed on the supposition that the outer volume of the molding finally shrinks smaller than the volume of the cavity part of the mold l by 7.0-13.5%. Further, when a PP(polypropylene) is employed as the thermoplastic resin, the mold 1 is formed on the supposition that the outer volume of the molding finally shrinks smaller than the volume of the cavity part of the mold 1 by 5.8-8.5%.
