Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a phosphoric acid ester in which an organic hydroxy compound constituting a phosphoric acid ester is an alkylene oxide adduct and by which the smell of an acid type phosphoric acid ester is improved.
SOLUTION: The method for producing a phosphoric acid ester comprises a process 1 for reacting a 6-36C aliphatic monohydric alcohol with a 2-4C alkylene oxide in the presence of an alkali catalyst and neutralizing the reaction product with at least one kind of an acid selected from a 2-10C hydroxycarboxylic acid, dicarboxylic acid and tricarboxylic acid to give an organic hydroxy compound and a process 2 for reacting the organic hydroxy compound obtained by the process 1 with a phosphorylating agent.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new cyclohexenol derivative excellent in lingering scent in the blending system of the whole aromatic product, useful as a perfume composition containing the compound. SOLUTION: This derivative is shown by formula I (R is a 4-10C alkyl, alkenyl, etc.; R is H, methyl, etc.; R is H or methyl) such as 4-(1,2,3- trimethylbutyl)-2-cyclohexen-1-ol. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting an aldehyde of formula II with morpholine to give an enamine of formula III, then, subjecting it and a vinyl ketone of formula IV to addition and intramolecular aldol reaction to give a cyclohexenone derivative and selectively reducing only the carbonyl group with a reducing agent (e.g. lithium aluminum hydride). The amount of the compound of formula I blended in a perfume composition is generally 0.1-90wt.%.
