    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a hair cosmetic containing a water-soluble chitin derivative and a polyphenol derivative, giving excellent springiness, body and voluminous feeling to the hair and having excellent styling performance. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains (A) 0.001-10wt.% of a water- soluble chitin derivative, e.g. a water-soluble oligomer produced by depolymerizing chitin or chitosan, a water-soluble chitosan having a deacetylation degree of 40-60%, an organic or inorganic acid salt of chitosan or a derivative made to be water-soluble by the introduction of hydrophilic group and (B) 0.00001-10wt.% of a polyphenol derivative, e.g. phloroglucinol derivative, tannin derivative or a galenical drug or vegetable extract containing polyphenol derivative. The cosmetic is extremely useful as hair-treatment, hair- conditioner, shampoo, rinse, etc.

The cosmetic is preferably mixed with 0.1-10wt.% silicone derivative to improve touch.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a hair cosmetic by combining an antibody to hair prepared from egg yolk of poultry with a kind of polymer emulsion, thus the antibody is selectively adsorbed on the specific parts in hair to inhibit or repair its damage and further give the hair flexibility. CONSTITUTION:This hair cosmetic comprises an antibody against hair or hair extract (or a poultry is immunized with hair or hair extract and the antibody is obtained from the yolk of the egg laid by the immunized poultry) and a polymer emulsion. This cosmetic can allow hair to adsorb the particles in the emulsion selectively only to the damaged sites to suppress or repair the damages as keeping the good quality intrinsic to hair. Further, it can give all the hair flexibility, moistness and smoothness with greasy feeling reduced. The cosmetic is particularly preferably kept its pH at 4-8. The hair cosmetic can be used in the form of pre-shampoo, shampoo, hair rinse, hair conditioner, hair treatment, set lotion or the like.
