Abstract: PURPOSE:A hair dyeing composition, containing a specific silicone derivative, having improved hiding power and dyeing tinting strength without increasing the pigment concentration, and capable of giving a depth to the color tone of hair after the dyeing. CONSTITUTION:A hair dyeing composition containing 0.1-10wt%, preferably 0.5-3wt%, silicone derivative selected from the group of fluorine-modified silicone oil, amino-modified silicone oil and alcohol-modified silicone oil. The fluorine-modified silicone oil, alcohol-modified silicone oil and amino-modified silicone oil are preferred as the silicone derivative for affording depth particularly to the color tone of the dyed hair.

Abstract: PURPOSE:The titled composition that contains a keratin decomposition product, thus inhibiting the deterioration of hairs caused by permament wave treatment, giving good touch to hairs and showing high retention of permanent waves. CONSTITUTION:At least one of keratin decomposition derivatives, selected from hydrolyzate of keratin such as wool, hairs or feather, oxidative decomposition and thiol derivatives of reductive decomposition product of formulaIor II is added to the second permanent wave solution by 0.01-10wt%. Although the detrioration of hairs with the first solution cannot be avoided, because S-S bonds in hairs are reductively cleavaged, the addition of the resultant keratin decomposition derivative to the second solution protects hair from being deteriorated by eluation of protein and aminoacids. Further, the combination with an anionic surfactant also gives good results.

The component (A) is pref. the one having a molecular weight of 200- 5,000 (esp. about 1,000) and obtained by hydrolyzing a keratinous material with an acid, an alkali or an enzyme; and above all, the enzymatic hydrolyzate is suitable for the application to cosmetics. Abstract: PURPOSE:The titled agent which contains a mercapto group-free peptide or its derivative and a buffering agent under specific conditions is applied to hair and heated to form hair waves safely through simple operations at relatively low temperatures in a shorter time. CONSTITUTION:The titled agent which contains 0.01-5wt% of a mercaptogroup- free peptide or its derivative and 0.05-10wt% of a buffering agent and has a pH of 8-10.5 is applied to hair and the hair is heated at 40-140 deg.C to give the hair waves. The peptide is preferably selected from polylysine, keratin, hydrolyzate of soybean protein and insulin. Since it includes no alkali agent of a high pH, reducing agent and oxidizing agent, the damage of hair and irritation to skins are reduced. Further, the treatment therewith forms equal to or better waves than conventional cold wave setting.

The composition may be blended with an arbitrary component to respond the desired purpose within a limit not to obstruct the effects of the composition.
