    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a cylindrical article in an extremely easy and certain manner by a method wherein a sheet not substantially stretched in the longitudinal direction thereof but stretchable in the lateral direction thereof is fixed at four substantial corner parts and conc. load is applied to the central part of the sheet to plastically deform said sheet. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet S is plastically deformed by stretching operation, the tensile force thereof in the longitudinal direction is large ant, therefore, the stretching stress in the longitudinal direction is within an elastic range and the sheet S is almost not stretched. Further, since the tensile force in the lateral direction of the sheet S is small, the stretching stress in the lateral direction exceeds the elastic range to generate monoaxial stretching wherein the sheet S is stretched in the lateral direction and a cylindrical article 2 is molded. When a molding member 8 is raised upwardly (in the direction shown by an arrow) in such a state that the sheet S is fixed at four substantial corner parts to apply concn. load to the central part of the sheet S accurately with respect to four corner parts from the space between press members 7, 7, the molding member 8 protrudes upwardly in a state covered with the sheet S and, at this time, the sheet S is stretched to be plastically deformed and molded as the cylindrical article 2. After the sheet S is molded as the cylindrical article 3, a ring 3 is mounted to the base end part of the cylindrical article 2 and the residual sheet S is treated to obtain an applicator A.

SOLUTION: A hot-melt adhesive 2 of specified length is intermittently discharged and applied on a strip 1 by this hot-melt adhesive discharging and applying device. The device is provided with a rotor 3 capable of being directly rotated by a motor and a housing 4 rotatably holding the rotor 3, and the rotor 3 is rotated to discharge and apply the hot-melt adhesive 2 at the specified position of the strip 1.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To stretch a sheet without generating creases by clamping all over edges of both sides of the sheet by means of a couple of clamping sections in stretching, sliding the sheet between a couple of clamping sections gradually and stretching in the width direction. CONSTITUTION:When a raw fabric sheet 10 reaches a stretching device, an edge of one side of the raw fabric sheet 10 is clamped by a large diameter pulley 31 of a first clamping section 30 and a V-belt 33 of a small diameter pulley 32, and simultaneously an edge of the other side of the raw fabric sheet 10 is clamped by a middle diameter pulley 41 and a V-belt 43 of a small diameter pulley 42 in a second clamping section 40. While the raw fabric sheet 10 is moved downstream side through the first clamping section 30 and the second clamping section 40 as respective pullies rotate, both edges of the raw fabric sheet 10 are integrally clamped in the arc shape by the large diameter pulley 31, the V-belt 33, the middle diameter pulley 41 and the V-belt 43, and the distance between said both clamping sections of arc-shape is stretched gradually by the difference of curvatures of the large diameter pulley 31 and the middle diameter pulley 41 in the width direction of raw fabric sheet 10.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable molding without generating warpage, etc., by precompressing a continuous fiber body consisting of laminate water absorptive fibers, then cutting and separating the fiber laminate to independent absorbers and compression molding respective compressed bodies until the specific density is attained in the state of holding these bodies by means of conveyors. CONSTITUTION:A continuous web 1A is supplied to a fiber laminating device 6 and the fine water absorptive fibers 1B are mixed and dispersed with air flow from this laminating device 6 and are sucked to a suction device 12 opposite thereto so as to be laminated on the web 1A on the net conveyor 11. A water absorptive polymer 1C is then supplied from a water absorptive polymer supplying device 7 to the water absorptive fibers 1B laminated on the web 1A and thereafter, the fibers are subjected to a low-pressure compression treatment at a high speed by press rolls 13 of a low-density compression molding device 8, by which the continuously transferred fiber laminate 2 is formed. This fiber laminate 2 is cut and separated by a cutting device 9. The resulted independent absorbers 3 are compressed at >=0.15g/m density by a high-density compression molding device 10 consisting of a pair of conveyor belts 16.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to eliminate warping, deformation and other troubles in the processing thereafter by preliminarily compressing continuous stacked fiber body made of absorptive fiber and then cutting it into independent absorbing bodies, and compressing each absorbing body to a particular density. CONSTITUTION:This production equipment 20 for manufacturing absorbing bodies such as sanitary napkin and paper diaper is equipped with a carrier sheet supply equipment 5 for continuously supplying a web 1A and a fiber stacking equipment 6 for continuously stacking absorptive fiber 1B on the web 1A. A stacked fiber body 2 continuously being conveyed and obtained from the fiber stacking equipment 6 is preliminarily compressed to a density lower than 0.15g/cm by a low density compression molding equipment 8, and a stacked fiber body continuously being conveyed after the preliminary compression is cut and separated into absorbing bodies by a cutter equipment 9. Then, each absorbing body 3 is compressed to a density higher than 0.15g/cm by a high density compression molding equipment 10, thereby producing desired absorbing bodies and are conveyed to post-processes by belt means 19.

For the ethylene tetrafluoride resin unbaked sheet formed as the housing cylinder 3, the first part with a small stretch, namely, a molecule orientation degree in a lengthwise direction is 70% or above at the time of the formation, and the second part with e large stretch, namely, the molecule orientation degree in a direction eight-angled to an A direction is 50% or above. At the time of inserting the applicator, a holding part 6 is held, the applicator is inserted as it is, then, it is locked at a large diameter part, an inserting edge position is automatically decided, and since the housing part 3 is flexible, has a small resistance and stretches not longitudinally but laterally, the insertion is easy.
