    Abstract: An antistatic fabric softening composition comprising the following four ingredients (I) to (IV): I. 4 - 10% by weight of a quaternary ammonium salt having two long-chain alkyl groups having 16 to 22 carbon atoms; II. 0.5 - 3.0% by weight of at least one antistatic agent selected from compounds expressed by the following formula

    Abstract: Textile auxiliary with germicidal activity contng. as active ingredient a quaternary ammonium salt of a phenolic bactericide obtd. by reacting a suitable phenolic cpd. with an aliphatic quaternary ammonium salt of formula (I) R1 = C8-18 aliphatic hydrocarbon radical or a lower alkyl-acylamino residue in which the acyl residue contains a C8-18 aliphatic hydrocarbon group, R2 = a C1-4 or C8-18 aliphatic hydrocarbon residue, benzyl or a lower alkyl-acylamino residue in which the acyl residue contains a C8-18 aliphatic hydrocarbon group R3 = C1-4 alkyl or a polyoxyethylene residue X = halogen, OH or a methosulphate or ethosulphate residue.
