    Abstract: A a polyaluminum dialkyl phosphate is discosed. The compound is prepared by the reaction of: (A) a dialkyl phosphate represented by formula (I): wherein R1 and R2 independently represent a hydrocarbon group of a C8-26 carbon atom content, or a salt thereof, and (B) a basic polyaluminum salt represented by formula (II): Alm(OH)nX1.kH2O (II) wherein X represents an anion having a valency of x other than a hydroxyl ion, m represents a positive integer satisfying the equation: 3m = n + x1, and k represents 0 or a positive integer, in an aqueous medium in which the resulting polyaluminum dialkyl phosphate is insoluble. The polyaluminum dialkyl phosphate, when it is formulated into a liquid oil, provides a highly transparent, densely structured, soft gel which contains only small amount of free oil component. The gel posseses favorable rheological characteristics and can adequately disperse by a stress and imparts a good feeling upon use.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic by emulsifying an oily base containing a silicone oil and water by using an emulsifier comprising a polyether-alkyl modified silicone and a dextrin fatty acid ester. CONSTITUTION:An oily base (e.g. squalane, olive oil, etc., amount of silicone oil is >=5 wt.% in oily base and amount of oily base is about 25-45wt.% in whole amounts of cosmetic) containing a silicone oil such as dimethypolysiloxane or dimethylcyclopolysiloxane and water (preferably used together with glycerol, ethanol, etc., and amount of water is about 50-80wt.%) are emulsified by using an emulsifier consisting of a polyether-alkyl modified silicone (one containing polyoxyalkylene group and 6-16C hydrocarbon group in one molecule and amount of polyether-alkyl modified silicone is about 3-95wt.%) and a dextrin fatty acid ester (e.g. dextrin palmitic ester and amount of dextrin fatty acid ester is 7-70wt.%) to give a milky water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic having excellent stability with the elapse of time, feeling in use and slip.

The title cosmetic has improved spread and excellent durability free from feeling of greasiness.
