    Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture the magnetic metallic powder with excellent magnetic property by separating solid from liquid after adding carbonic acid into the slurry of the powder of an iron compound, and forming, drying and screening the obtained cake, and then reducing it in the heated condition. CONSTITUTION:Carbonic acid whose number of carbon atoms is 8-22 and/or its salt is added to the suspension slurry of the iron compound such as water containing iron oxide or iron oxide as main component by 0.5-15wt.% based on the powder of the iron compound and adhered to the powder of the iron compound. Then, the solid contained in this suspension slurry is separated from the liquid by a filter or the like to obtain the cake whose water bearing ratio is 70-90%, preferably 80-90%. This cake is formed in the extrusion method, etc., and the obtained formed body is dried in the stationary condition by using a box-type drier, etc., and screened into the particle whose average grain size is 1-20mm in diameter to obtain the dried particle whose bulk density is 0.15-0.40g/cc, preferably 0.15-0.30g/cc. This particle is heated to reduce at the temperature of 350-600 deg.C in the reducing gas such as hydrogen.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject hair cosmetic that can give wet hair softness and dry and oil-innocent feeling and softness after drying by adding an α- hydroxycarboxylic acid and a powder of water-insoluble silicone elastomer thereinto. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic comprises (A) 0.01-10wt.% of α- hydroxycarboxylic acid, preferably citric acid, lactic acid, maleic acid, glycolic acid or tartaric acid, (B) 0.01-10wt.% of a water-insoluble silicone elastomer powder which is a methylpolysiloxane (derivative) that has particle sizes of 0.01-100μm, true specific gravity of 0.9-1.2, a rubber hardness of 5-95 (according to JIS A) and (C) when necessary, surfactant selected from anionic, amphoteric, nonionic and cationic surfactants and other components that are to be incorporated into usual hair cosmetics.
