Abstract:
PURPOSE:To form a developer prevented from offset without adding any offset inhibitor, and fixable at lower fixing temps. by using a specific polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:The binder resin contains >=50wt% polyester resin (A) having a softening point of 100-160 deg.C measured by the ring and ball method obtained by polycondensing a diole component represented by formula I with a carboxylic acid component composed of a bivalent carboxylic acid contg. alkyl or alkenyl succinate or its anhydride or its lower alkyl ester, and a tervalent or higher valent carboxylic acid or its anhydride or its lower alkyl ester; and =1, and an average value of x+y is 2-7. In formula II, X is a 6-10C group having a cyclohexane or cyclohexene ring, and n is an integer.

PURPOSE:To obtain a slurry which, even when it is highly concentrated, is not so viscous, has good flow and long-term dispersion stability and therefore is capable of pipe line transportation, tank storage and direct firing in a boiler. CONSTITUTION:The stabilizer is prepared by using a reaction product (molecular weight of 5000-50000) prepared by condensing a sulfonate of m-cresol with formaldehyde under basic conditions as the principal component. The slurry is prepared by adding 0.05-2.0wt.%, based on dry coal, the above dispersion stabilizer to a coal/water slurry comprising 50-80wt.% coal and 50-20wt.% water.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a dispersant having superior dispersibility for a hydraulic material by irradiating a condensation product of naphthalene sulphonic acid or alkylnaphthalene sulphonic acid with formaldehyde or a salt thereof with γ-rays. CONSTITUTION: A condensation product of formaldehyde with naphthalene sulphonic acid or alkylnaphthalene sulphonic acid as a single body or a mixture thereof or a salt of the condensation product is irradiated with γ-rays. The irradiation of γ-rays is performed preferably until the dose of the absorbed rays reaches 0.1×10 5 W1.0×10 7 Gy. The dispersant to be irradiated may be the aq. soln. of the condensation product as it is or of the salt of the condensation product, or powdered product thereof, but it is preferred to add 0.1W2,000ppm formaldehyde in the acidic or alkaline condition. Namely, change of the molecular weight of the condensation product is caused as the dose of the absorbed rays increases; the viscosity of the aq. soln. becomes higher, and the dispersibility also becomes higher. PURPOSE:To prepare the title binder free from toxic substance or odorous component, and containing small amount of sulfur, by compounding saccharides or blackstrap molasses and a surface active agent. CONSTITUTION:The title binder is prepared by mixing (A) a component selected from monosaccharides, disaccharides, oligosaccharides, etc., and blackstrap molasses, and (B) 0.1-50wt% of a surface active agent selected from an anionic surface active agent such as a salt of a condensation product of naphthalenesulfonic acid and formaldehyde, a salt of ligninsulfonic acid, etc., and a nonionic surface active agent such as sorbitan fatty acid ester, polyethyleneglycol fatty acid monoester, etc. 0.1-20wt% of the binder is added to coal, and formed to briquettes.
