Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a W/O type emulsion contg. fine and uniform particles having superior stability and low oil content by freezing an oil phase, an aq. phase and a surface active agent phase or a mixed phase of a surface active agent with a polyol, separately, pulverizing the frozen products, and warming or compressing the pulverized products. CONSTITUTION:75-97pts.wt. aq. phase, 2-20pts.wt. liquid oil having low m.p. such as neopentyl glycol dihexanoate, etc., and 1-5pts.wt. surface active agent phase comprising polyoxyethylene alkyl ether or a mixed phase comprising a surface active agent and a polyol, are frozen separately. Then, the frozen products are pulverized at =1.1atm., and stirred. The mixture is then warmed at -10-10 deg.C or compressed under >=1.1atm., to produce thus W/O type emulsion. The emulsion produced by this process contains fine and uniform particles having superior stability. It is suited particularly to the production of cosmetics such as cream, milky lotion, etc. since any special component is not contained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a manicure removing agent damaging neither nails nor neighboring skin, readily removing manicure, showing moisture retaining effects on nails free from an unpleasant smell, containing a polyethylene glycol, etc., and a monohydric alcohol in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:A manicure removing agent containing 10-95wt% polyethylene glycol or one or silicone polyether copolymers such as preferably dimethylpolysioxy-polyoxyalkylene copolymer shown by the formula (x is 3-10; y is 1-5; a is 10-17), etc., 5-50wt% monofunctional alcohol, preferably 2-12C alcohol such as ethyl alcohol or propylene alcohol and optionally 0.1-5wt% abrading fine particles such as silica fine powder, titanium oxide fine powder, having 0.1-5mum particle diameter as an auxiliary component. The agent is impregnated into tissue paper, cosmetic cotton, nonwoven fabric, etc., and manicure applied to nail is wiped out.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To micronize the particles and to improve the stability of the title emulsion by mixing 100pts.wt. oil phase, 15-30pts.wt. water phase, and 10-30 pts.wt. mixed phase of a polyol and a surfactant to prepare the low-water content O/W type emulsion. CONSTITUTION:One hundred pts.wt. oil phase, 15-30pts.wt. water phase, and 10-30pts.wt. mixed phase of the polyol and the surfactant are separately frozen. The frozen material are crushed under frozen conditions and pulverized, and then the mixture of the still frozen fine particles is heated or pressed to produce the low-water content O/W type emulsion. A cetyl 2-ethylhexanoate, isopropyl myristate, etc., are used as the oil phase. Besides, glycerin, sorbitol, etc, can be exemplified as the polyol to be used as the component of the mixed phase.
