Abstract: Un artículo absorbente, tal como un producto para la higiene femenina, que incluye una cubierta superior permeable al líquido, un deflector generalmente impermeable al líquido, y una estructura absorbente colocada entre la cubierta superior y la cubierta exterior. Un método para hacer la composición aglutinante que incluye una solución de monómero y una solución de iniciador. Se proporciona además, una composición aglutinante absorbente flexible capaz de entrecruzarse en forma espontánea que incluye aproximadamente 15 a 99,8 % en masa de unidades de polímero monoetilenicamente insaturado, y 0,1 a 20 % en masa de unidades de éster de poliacrilato que tiene una funcionalidad alcoxisilano, y 0,1 a 75 % en masa de unidades de polímero seleccionadas de glicoles de poliolefinas y óxidos de poliolefinas. La composición aglutinante absorbente flexible puede prepararse utilizando un proceso de polimerización de plantilla, con el glicol de poliolefina u óxido de poliolefina preformado que sirve como un polímero de plantilla.

Abstract: An absorbent binder composition is provided which is capable of spontaneous crosslinking after application to a substrate, at a temperature of about 120 ~C or less. The absorbent binder composition includes a monoethylenically unsaturated polymer, such as carboxylic acid, sulphonic acid, or phosphoric acid, or salts thereof, or a quarternary ammonium salt, and an acrylate or methacrylate ester that contains an alkoxysilane functionality, or a monomer capable of co-polymerization with a compound containing a trialkoxy silane functional group and subsequesnt reaction with water to form a silanol group . The absorbent binder composition is particularly suitable for use in manufacturing a wide variety of absorbent articles. A method of making the absorbent binder composition includes preparing a monomer solution, adding t he monomer solution to an initiator solution which can also contain monomer, an d activating a polymerization initiator within the initiator solution.A flexib le absorbent binder composition is also provided which is capable of spontaneou s crosslinking after application to a substrate, at a temperature of about 120 ~C or less. Abstract: Un protector adaptado para la inserción en una parte de entrepierna de una ropa interior de tipo tanga para absorber fluidos del cuerpo y proteger la prenda de tales fluidos. El protector incluye un borde izquierdo del protector y un borde derecho del protector que convergen hacia abajo hacia un vértice del protector. El protector está dimensionado y configurado de manera que con la inserción del protector en la parte de entrepierna, el vértice del protector hace contacto con la parte de entrepierna en un lugar adyacente al extremo inferior de la parte de entrepierna, el borde izquierdo del protector no se extiende lateralmente más allá de un borde izquierdo de prenda, el borde derecho del protector no se extiende lateralmente más allá de un borde derecho de prenda, y el vértice del protector no está superpuesto con el tejido de la ropa interior tipo tanga que se extiende entre las nalgas de la usuaria. Estas características de calce aseguran que el protector no se extienda más allá de los bodes de la ropa interior tipo tanga o sobre el tejido, minimizando así la irritación de la usuaria.
