Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve a compression effect by scattering the materials to be treated which are disposed so as to face each other by way of a gap by explosion to force the materials to collide against each other and subjecting the materials to impulsive compression twice with one time of explosion. CONSTITUTION:When initiating explosive layers 6 are initially exploded by a detonator 7, the top end part of a cylindrical explosive layer 5 explodes simultaneously and the exposive wave plane P thereof descends. Impulsion waves Q are generated in samples (condensible materials) 1 through a vessel 2 accoding to said wave plane, and advance toward the central axis while compressing the sample 1. When the waves Q arrive at the boundary between the samples 1 and a gap 3, rarefaction waves S which release the pressure are generated in the samples 1, and the samples 1 expand and scatter (R is a scattering plane) freely in the gap 3 and collide against each other at the central point (U is a collision point). Thus, the collision point U advances in a downward direction at the velocity equal to the velocity of explosion of the explosives 5 and the impulsive waves (T is the wave plane thereof) by the collision generate from the point U, whereby the samples 1 are compressed again.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress the temp. rise of a sample generated is accompany with impactive compression, by allowing impactive compression due to exlosion of an explosive layer to an impactive compression due to collision of a flying body. CONSTITUTION:A numeral 1 shows a sample to be subjected to compression treatment and this sample is contained in a cylindrical metal container 2. Numerals 3, 4 show lids of the container 2. A cylindrical flying member 5 is concentrically arranged around the container 2 so as to leave a gap 6 therebetween. A main explosive layer 9 is provided to the outer peripheral surface of the flying body 5 and the flying body 5 is flied toward a target at high speed and collided with the container 2 by explosive force to compress the sample 1 by an impactive force. Said explosive layer is initiated by an imtiator 10 contained in a detonator 11, 9 and the main explosive layer 9 continuously explodes from the upper end toward the lower end thereof. A numeral 32 shows an auxiliary initiating explosive layer provided to the outer peripheral surface of the container 2 and initiated from the upper end part thereof by the collision of the flying member 5. An isolating plate 29 is inserted between the initiator 10 and the auxiliary initiating explosive layer 32.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a container from being broken by reducing the collision-point moving speed or a flying member at least on an ending point side through explosion when allowing the flying member driven by explosion gas with a container which contains a condensable material. CONSTITUTION:A container 2 for a condensed material 1 extending in an axial direction inside of a flying member 5 with a main explosive layer 9 is provided in parallel to the member 5 and with a gap 6 left. Once an initiating explosive 10 is exploded by a detonator 11, the layer 9 explodes at a downward explosion speed, and the member 5 collides with the container 2 successively from above to treating the material 1 by impact. In this case, deceleration explosive layers 21 and 22 are used as inserted between shock-wave damping plates 23-26. When there is neither the layer 21 nor 22, the upper part of the container 2 is to move up and the other part is to move down by the impact of the member 5 to the container and plates 23-26. Further, a secondary rarefaction wave is easy to generate in the boundary surface of the material 1 an the container 2 is easy to break. On the other hand, when the layers 21 and 22 are provided and the member 5 is allowed to collide with them to initiate explosion from side surfaces, its explosive force reduces the vertical movement of said container 2, preventing the container from being broken.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform effective impact compression under superhigh temperature at low cost by specifically providing an explosive layer to one surface of a flying member provided on that the other surface is set parallel to an axially extending condensable material with a gap left. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical container 2 contains a condensable material 1 and pluged up with plugs 3 and 4. A cylindrical flying member 5 concentric with the containr 2 is provided with a gap 6 left, and a main explosive layer 9 is formed over its outer circumferential surface; and the member 5 collides with the container by the explosive force of said layer to compress the material 1 by impact. Then, a subordinate explosive layer 28 having a higher explosion speed than the layer is provided over the outer circumferential surface of the layer 9. The layer 9 is exploded by the explosion initiating part consisting of a detonator 11 and an initiating explosive layer 10 successively from the upper end to the lower end. Then, the layer 9 is also exploded similarly. In this case, an isolating plate 29 made of wood, etc., prevents the layer 9 from being induced to explode directly through the explosion of the layer 10. This device performs effect impact compression under superhigh pressure without using high-performance explosive having fast explosion speed in a large quantity.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To decrease the moving speed of a vessel contg. a sample toward the other end part and to prevent the rupture of the vessel by providing explosive layers for deceleration which are exploded by the bombardment of a flying member and impulsive wave attenuating plates in both end parts of said vessel. CONSTITUTION:A sample 1 is contained in a vessel 2, and plugs 3, 4 are provided in both end parts thereof. Preventing means for rupture of the vessel wherein explosive layers 21, 22 for deceleration are sandwiched with impulsive wave attenuating plates 23, 24 and 25, 26 are provided respectively on the other sides thereof. A flying member 5 and a main explosive layer 9 are provided on the outside circumference of the vessel 2 via a space 6, and a plane detonation wave generating means 30 is provided in the upper part. A plastic plate 27 is provided in the lower part. For example, penthrite or the like which is subjected to a molding treatment is used for the layers 21, 22 and, for example, metharcylics, etc. are used for the plates 23-26. The sample is subjected to an impact compression treatment by actuating a detonator 11, whereby the high pressure impact treatment of the sample is accomplished uniformly.
