Abstract:
A A problem is to provide a remote control system that prevents a combination of a transmitter and a moving machine other than a combination determined in the system from being established, ensures fair fighting games, and is capable of easily discriminating a moving machine and a transmitter combined in the system even when combinations cannot be discriminated visibly. A transmitter 2 reads characteristic information 10 from a recording medium 3 having the characteristic information associated with a moving machine 1 recorded thereon, and transmits the information to the moving machine 1 as initial data. If the received characteristic information coincides with characteristic information 16 the moving machine has, then the moving machine 1 comes in a state to ready to operate. Even if moving data destined to the moving machine 1 itself is transmitted, however, the moving machine 1 is not activated until the initial data containing the characteristic information 16 is received. The above described problem is solved by such a remote control system.

A controlling device controls operation on the basis of operation control information and transmission to another moving machine on the basis of communication control information at the time of receipt from the transmitter and executes a predetermined process at the time of receipt from another moving machine. The controlling device specifies a self transmission timing from the data from the transmitter and the transmission schedule, and transmits it. A transmission schedule stipulates respective transmission timings such that they do not overlap.

A drive unit for a remote control toy is provided. The drive unit judges whether remote control can be performed according to a control signal, based on an identification code included in the control signal from a radio unit and the identification code being set to itself. The drive unit includes a notification-signal receiving device which receives a code notification signal sent from the radio unit in order to notify the identification code which is set by the radio to itself unit as an own identification code. A code discrimination device discriminates the identification code which has been set by the radio unit, based on the received code notification signal. In addition, a code set device sets the discriminated identification code as an own identification code.
