Abstract: The invention relates to an installation for transporting persons, in particular an escalator provided with steps (2) or a moving walkway equipped with pallets (2'), wherein the steps or pallets are joined to form a continuous step belt or pallet belt and can be moved in the transport direction by means of drive elements.
