Abstract: PURPOSE: A sensor node and control method thereof are provided to automatically control sensing cycles by calculating sensing rates based on established operation time by establishing the desired operation time. CONSTITUTION: A user inputs the operation time of a sensor node(S200). The control unit of the sensor node grasps the residual battery quantity of the sensor node(S210). The control unit calculates sensing rates(S220). The control unit controls a sensor based on the calculated sensing rates. The control unit recalculates the sensing rates if the established time is over(S230,S240).
