Abstract: A combined active tag and an RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) system using the same are provided to correctly determine movement and a position of a container, and directly/quickly track and manage entry of the container in a container gate. A passive tag(211) receives an RF signal of ID information transmitted from a passive reader(200) and generates the received ID information as a wakeup signal. An active tag(213) generates a beacon signal from the ID information of the passive reader and unique ID information of the active tag, and transmits the beacon signal to an active reader(220) if the passive tag generates the wakeup signal. A movement sensor detects the movement and generates the wakeup signal in case that the movement is detected. The movement sensor includes the active sensor.
