Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide various editing/authoring functions for object-based interactive multimedia contents by considering each body existing in video, audio and still images as one object and to perform an interactive manipulation on an object basis which can easily re-edited/authored resulting to edit user interactivity, which is possible to respond to the various requests by users. SOLUTION: An apparatus includes a means for supplying an interface for editing object-based interactive multimedia contents by using a multimedia information editing and authoring tool, a processing means for converting the multimedia contents supplied from the user interfacing means on object basis to an object-based internal material structure supporting the editorial information authoring, storing it, converting the form of interactive multimedia content information stored as the internal material structure to a file form so as to perform an input or output process of the content and a means for encoding and decoding interactive multimedia content information supplied from the processing means.
Abstract:
Provided are an extended Simple Aggregation Format (SAF) packet to support voluminous media data and a method of generating the extended SAF packet. The extended SAF packet includes an SAF access unit including an SAF fragment unit obtained by dividing the voluminous media data into a data size suitable for transmission through an SAF packet and a field that provides information about the type of the SAF fragment unit, and an SAF packet header including a field that provides information about whether the SAF access unit carries the SAF fragment unit. Thus, it is indicated that the SAF packet carries the SAF fragment unit from information of the SAF packet header, and the type of the SAF fragment unit, a sequence number of the SAF fragment unit and a total access unit length from information of the SAF access unit.
Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus and method for controlling program conversion according to program protection information. The method for controlling conversion of a broadcasting program includes: demultiplexing a broadcasting program into broadcasting program data and program protection information; encrypting the broadcasting program data based on distribution condition of the program protection information when recordation of the broadcasting program data is requested; and recording the encrypted broadcasting program data.
Abstract:
An apparatus for coding an image which may effectively code the image and an apparatus for decoding an image which may decode the effectively coded image. The apparatus for coding the image includes: an input image segmentation unit to segment an input image into a plurality of image blocks including a first image block and a second image block; a waveform information generation unit to select a plurality of reference pixels from among pixels included in the first image block, generate first waveform information about the first image block based on a pixel value difference between the selected plurality of reference pixels, and generate second waveform information about the second image block based on a pixel value difference between the pixels included in the second image block; and coding unit to code an image included in the second image block based on the first waveform information and second waveform information.
Abstract:
A water ring scanning apparatus and method, and an apparatus and method for encoding/decoding video sequences using the same are disclosed. A water ring scanning apparatus includes: a preferential scan unit for scanning information on a water ring origin point (water_ring(0)) in an image frame, which is a most significant bit of the image frame to be preferentially scanned; a scan location decision unit for deciding a location of i_th generated water ring (water_ring(i)), which is a rectangular-shape ring surrounding the water ring origin point; and a scan unit for scanning information on the location of the i_th generated water ring.
