    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color conversion coefficient generation chip set apparatus that generates a rich and sharp color image than that of a video image with quality viewed through a conventional TV system, changes the entire color sense of a broadcast video image into the color sense best preferred by users to obtain a video image in a more kickback sense, by which family users can easily adjust the video image in a color of preferred quality and view the video image with high quality distinguished from the of the conventional TV system. SOLUTION: A TV signal reception section 12 receives a transmission video signal, a pre-processing section 18 adjusts the size, hue, and lightness or the like of the received video image, the color conversion coefficient generation chip set 20 generates a color conversion coefficient by which the converted video image can optimally be displayed, a post-processing section 22 receives the generated color conversion coefficient information to convert again the video image, and an RGB display section 16 displays the video image subjected to re-conversion on a screen.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To linearly expand the color gamut width to improve the picture quality in a process of converting and outputting a small color gamut of a display and a relatively narrow color gamut of a printer to a wide color gamut of a large color gamut display. SOLUTION: Color coordinates of red (R), green (G) and blue (B) are inputted from a device having a small color gamut and transformed to color coordinates of lightness (L*), chroma (C*) and hue (h), the transformed color coordinates are linearly expanded to expand the color attributes of lightness (L*), chroma (C*) and hue (h) and controlled to avoid moving the color attributes information of the expanded lightness and chroma out of the color gamut of a device having a large color gamut, and the color attributes information of the expanded lightness, chroma and hue are inverse transformed to the color coordinates of red (R), green (G) and blue (B) and transferred to the device with the large color gamut.
