Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blue phosphor having a high luminous efficiency for a fluorescent display and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The blue phosphor for a fluorescent display is obtained from a matrix comprising SrCO 3 and an activator comprising a Ce compound.
