Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce client's load in a certificate effectiveness verification system using a verification server in a public key infrastructure. SOLUTION: Whether a certificate is effective or not is processed by verification servers 1, 2 (28, 29) on the wired/wireless Internet having the public key infrastructure. An approval server list and a routing server list are set in the server 1 (28), and when these lists are included in a domain to be processed by the server 1, the server 1 directly processes both the lists. When those lists are included in an external domain, the server 1 transmits the lists to the verification server 2 (29) for verifying the effectiveness of the certificate of the approval domain by routing. Thus, mutual connection having approval relation can be attained when verifying the effectiveness of the certificate.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To verify the electronic signature of a paper document on an off-line. SOLUTION: In this method for generating the paper document of an electronic document signed with a public key and a system and method for verifying the electronic signature of the paper document, the format code of a digital electronic document signed with a public key, a service symbol image indicating an organization which issues the electronic document or a target service, a signer information via the public key information of a signer who has signed the electronic document, the signature value of the electronic document, and the contents of the electronic document are generated, and outputted to a paper medium. When a user needs it, the paper document is inputted, and whether or not the document format, service symbol image, signer information, and signature value are correct is confirmed, and the electronic signature of the paper document is verified on an off-line.
