Abstract: PURPOSE: A channel resource control apparatus on a cable network is provided to effectively manage resources by monitoring transmission states of each channel and transmission performance for data transmission flows in real time. CONSTITUTION: A resource management module(212) establishes and manages physical channel resources of a target apparatus and bonded channel resources. A monitoring module(214) monitors the state of performance of resources in the target apparatus. DOCSIS(Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) channel resources of a target system(220) are managed within a head-end by using a remote system(210). The performance of the DOCSIS(Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification) channel resources are monitored by the remote system.
