Abstract:
A method in which a receiving node calculates the distance between the receiving node and a transmitting node to measure the location of an object comprises: receiving a location measurement signal from the transmitting node and measuring a delay tap; temporarily determining the distance between the receiving node and the transmitting node using the delay tap, and comparing the temporarily determined distance and a reference distance; selecting either a distance-estimating method using propagation delay or a distance-estimating method using delay spread; and finally estimating a distance.
Abstract:
Provided is a wireless position determining method and apparatus (10). The wireless position determining includes: a measuring unit (100) that measures a propagation delay tap of a signal received from a transmitting end through a channel; an extractor (200) that extracts delay spread information having various forms based on the propagation delay tap; and an obtaining and calculating unit (300) that obtains a distance between transmission and reception ends based on the delay spread information and calculates a position of a receiving end based on the obtained distance between the transmission and reception ends.
Abstract:
A resource allocation method in an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing)-based mobile communication system is provided to expand cell coverage by using repeaters as allocating resources which are orthogonal to each other to each repeater in cell borders, thus interference among neighbor cells can be eliminated. Overall resources allocated to a mobile communication system are divided into cell border area resources to be provided to cell border areas of a base station and cell inside area resources to be provided to the inside of cells. The resources to be provided to the cell border areas are provided to repeaters located in the cell border areas. The resources to be provided to the inside of the cells are provided to terminals located inside the cells.
