Abstract: PURPOSE: An AP(Access Point) selecting apparatus for optimizing performance in a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) and method thereof are provided to select the best throughput in a wireless network by considering of the throughput justice and time justice in an AP selecting algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(110) stores an AP selecting algorithm. When a control unit(120) is connected to an AP which includes the best throughput in an entire WLAN, the control unit selects the AP and satisfies with a minimum demand bandwidth of a WLAN according to the AP selecting algorithm. A communication unit(130) wirelessly communicates with the selected AP.
