Abstract:
A streaming service transmitting and receiving device and method are provided. An arrival interval jitter is an arrival delay time variation between TCP packets, which arrive at a device receiving a streaming service. The device receiving a streaming service determines a de-jitter buffering time to absorb a network jitter before TS packets in a TCP packet are inputted into a T-STD buffer model. An initial playback delay time of the device receiving a streaming service is determined by the de-jitter buffering time.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for providing a microblog service by a service-providing server, comprising the steps of: receiving a request for opening a channel for the service from a terminal; registering a user service and a bearer service accompanying the user service to a service-providing node so as to form a multicast channel in accordance with the request for opening a channel; and, if a microblog message is received from the terminal, transmitting the message to the service-providing node.
Abstract:
Provided is a system which enables session mobility and media mobility between terminals even when the session information currently being provided is not known in advance. A method for operating a target terminal to be provided with media mobility between user terminals of a system for providing media sessions between a source terminal and a remote terminal through an IMS entity and a continuity control server, comprises the following steps: receiving user input information indicating a request for mobility of media provided through a media session between the source terminal and the remote terminal; generating a register message for requesting media mobility according to the request for mobility of media based on the user input information; and transmitting the register message to the IMS entity.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for accessing service discovery metadata. MPEG AIT devices can access discovery metadata of different schemes using an MXM-based generic protocol. End-consumer devices, description service provider devices and IPTV service provider devices can exchange metadata by means of the above-described access method, and further modification and addition of metadata schemes are supported.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and device for an adaptive HTTP streaming service using metadata relating to content. The content metadata can be sent to a terminal after having been effectively allocated to suit the purpose of use of the terminal via general media information or specific media information. A group comprises one or more representations of the content. The metadata comprises a group element, and the group element provides a summary of the attributes of one or more representations comprised in the group.
Abstract:
Provided are node authentication and node operation methods within service and access networks for bundle authentication between the service and access networks in a next generation network (NGN) . A method of authentication processing of a node (S-CSC-FE/I-CSC-FE (Serving Call Session Control Functional Entity/Interrogating Call Session Control Functional Entity)) within a service network for bundle authentication between service and access networks, the method including: receiving first authentication information about access authentication of a terminal from a first node within the service networks; requesting to receive second authentication information from a second node within the service network based on the first authentication information; and comparing the first authentication information with the second authentication information to authenticate the terminal.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and apparatus for an adaptive HTTP streaming service using media content metadata. The media content consist of a series of periods. The metadata may include a start time attribute and/or a duration attribute for each period. The metadata may determine a start time of each period and a start time of each segment contained in each period. A terminal accesses the segments contained in each period, and performs decoding and rendering processes on the data of the media content contained in the segments, thereby reproducing the media content.
Abstract:
Disclosed are an apparatus and method for providing an adaptive HTTP streaming service using metadata for content. The metadata includes one or more base URL elements. The URL of a segment constituting media is generated on the basis of one or more base URL elements. The URLs of the segment may be generated by mapping any of the one or more base URL elements into a source URL property of the segment. The generated URLs indicate the same segment.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a mobile multicast system and a method thereof, and more particularly to a network-based mobility multicast system and a method thereof. The system according to one embodiment of the present invention is the mobile multicast system for supporting the network-based mobility comprising: access points which communicate with mobile terminals within an access network through a wireless channel, obtains layer 2 addresses of the terminals, and provides the obtained layer 2 addresses of the terminals; management parts which control a handover of each terminal included in the access points, transmit multicast packets to be provided to the terminals, and are provided according to the access points; a router which receives the multicast data through the network, and transmits the multicast packets to the terminals for receiving the multicast data; and a mobile control server which obtains position information of the terminals from the management parts, transmits a query message for determining the reception of the multicast data to each of the management parts so as to confirm whether the terminals join the multicast when receiving the query message from the router, and controls setting of a tunnel between the router and the management part for transmitting a membership report message when receiving the membership report message for joining the multicast.
