Abstract: An integrated interface apparatus for heterogeneous sensor networks and a method thereof are provided to enable an application system to easily access various heterogeneous sensor networks, and increase availability of the sensor network infrastructure. An integrated interface apparatus for heterogeneous sensor networks comprises the followings: an application system interface mean(22) which converts a query command of an application system into a command for the sensor network according to the common message standard, and interprets a response message to the command for the sensor network to transmit it to the application system; and a sensor network interface mean(23) which converts the command for the sensor network according to properties of the corresponding sensor network to transmit it to the corresponding sensor network, and converts measurement data, measured in each sensor network, according to the standard data form defined previously to loads the converted data on the command for the sensor network and transmit it to the application system interface mean.
