Provided are a cell search method, a forward link frame transmission method, an apparatus using the methods, and a forward link frame structure. The cell search apparatus includes a sync acquirer acquiring synchronization of sync channel symbols using a sync channel of a forward link, and a group detector detecting at least one hopping codeword element belonging to a hopping codeword of a target cell from a forward link signal containing sync channel symbols sequence-hopped using a hopping codeword corresponding to a code group to which a scrambling code of each cell belongs based on the acquired synchronization, and detecting a code group of the target cell based on the detected hopping codeword element, wherein the hopping codewords are orthogonal to a cyclic shift operation. Accordingly, a cell search time and the complexity of the cell search can be reduced.

When a plurality of terminals share the same resources in a wireless communication system, and when control information such as acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NAK) information or scheduling information is transmitted, a method of efficiently performing code division multiplexing (CDM) is required to distinguish the plurality of terminals. In particular, it is necessary to develop a method by which a code sequence of CDM can be selected and used according to each cell condition. Provided is a method of forming a signal in a wireless communication system in which a plurality of terminals commonly share frequency and time resources. The method includes the operations of receiving condition information in a cell; selecting one of a plurality of time domain orthogonal sequences having different lengths, according to the condition information; and allocating the selected time domain orthogonal sequence to a control signal symbol block.

Métodos e equipamento terminal para transmitir informações de controle de uplink e recebê-las em estação de base terminal. Quando uma pluralidade de terminais compartilha os mesmos recursos num sistema de comunicações sem fio e quando controlam informações tais como informações de recebimento/confirmação negativa (ack/nak) ou são transmitidas informações de programação, é exigido realizar eficientemente um método de multiplexação de divisão de código (cdm) para distinguir a pluralidade determinais. Em particular, é necessário desenvolver um método pelo qual possa ser selecionada e usada uma seqúéneia de códigos de cdm de acordo com cada condição de célula. É proporcionado um método deformação de um sinal num sistema de comunicações sem fio em que uma pluralidade de terminais comumente compartilha recursos de frequência e de tempo. O método inclui as operações de recebimento de informações de condição numa célula; selecionar uma de uma pluralidade de seqúências ortogonais de domínio de tempo tendo comprimentos diferentes, de acordo com as informações de condição; e alocar a seqüência ortogonal de domínio de tempo selecionada para um bloco de símbolos de sinal de controle.

There is disclosed an optimal search method of DS-CDMA signals consisted of time-multiplexed pilot symbols and control symbols capable of maximizing the performance of a receiver when the signal is searched or SNR is measured and apparatus thereof. Further, the present invention proposes a method of maximizing the performance of a searcher using basically both energy of the pilot symbol and the control symbol wherein coherent integral lengths for two regions are differentiated when the receiver searches the signals, and different weights are given to the two regions when a coherent correlation value is finally non-coherently added, and a method of effectively estimating SNR.

The present invention provides an OFDM symbol generating apparatus. The OFDM symbol generating apparatus generates a plurality of weight-applied symbol groups by applying a plurality of weights to a digital modulation symbol group, and generates a plurality of IFFT symbol groups by performing an IFFT operation on the plurality of weight-applied symbol groups. Subsequently, an IFFT symbol group having the minimum PAPR is selected from among the plurality of IFFT symbol groups such that a characteristic of a PAPR can be improved without reducing data transmission speed.

A cell searching method in a time-division multiplexing (TDM)-based Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) cellular system having a primary synchronization channel and secondary synchronization channel, and a frame transmission method and system thereof are provided. In the cell searching method in an OFDM cellular system including a plurality of cells allocated with scrambling codes unique to the cells, wherein each base station transmits a frame of each cell and a terminal searches for a target cell by using the frame received from the base station, the cell searching method includes: acquiring Sync-block synchronization corresponding to a period of a primary synchronization channel symbol included in the frame received by the terminal and a primary synchronization channel sequence number by using the primary synchronization channel symbol; and acquiring a frame boundary of the frame and the target cell of the terminal based on the Sync-block synchronization and the primary synchronization channel sequence number by using a secondary synchronization channel symbol included in the frame received by the terminal. Accordingly, the synchronization can be acquired with low complexity.
