Disclosed is a broadcast data transmission system. Said broadcast data transmission system transmits broadcast data by using a plurality of transmission antennas and a plurality of receiving antennas. A broadcast data transmission device comprised in the broadcast data transmission system determines different modulation techniques for each transmission antenna, determines different kinds of transmission power for each data stream according to the determined modulation techniques, and determines different precoding vectors.

Provided are a method for transmitting data related to a stereoscopic image and a method for playing back a stereoscopic image. The stereoscopic image data transmitting method includes generating stereoscopic image data related to a stereoscopic still image in a predetermined file format, and transmitting the generated data. The file format includes a media information unit including the stereoscopic still image, control information for controlling playing back the stereoscopic still image, and image composition information indicating a type of composing a stereoscopic image using the stereoscopic still image.

Provided is a multi-view video coding/decoding method and apparatus which uses coded and decoded multi-view videos to code and decode depth information videos corresponding to the multi-view videos (301 ). The multi-view video coding method includes: controlling the scales of first (503) and second depth information videos corresponding to a multi-view video such that the scales are equalized; and coding the second depth information video, of which the scale is controlled, by referring to the first depth information video (503) of which the scale is controlled.

The method includes storing a first image, receiving a second image that forms a stereoscopic image with the first image correlated, synchronizing the first image and the second image, and outputting the synchronized two images.

Provided are an apparatus and method for multiplexing and demultiplexing based on DMB. The multiplexing apparatus includes a packetizer, a section generator, and a multiplexer. The packetizer (340) packetizes element streams and object information of a base layer and an enhancement layer. The section generator (350, 360) generates 14496 sections including the object information of the base layer and the enhancement layer, a SCST section having element stream information of the enhancement layer, an IOD having descriptors for the object information of the base layer and the enhancement layer, and a PSI section having a descriptor connecting the SCST. The multiplexer (380,390) generates base layer and enhancement layer TSs by multiplexing the packetized element streams and the packetized object information of the base layer and the enhancement layer, the 14496 sections including the object information of the base layer and the enhancement layer, the PSI section, and the SCST section.
