    Abstract: The present invention relates to a biodegradable multi-filament false-twisted yarn having a bulky structure, a production method for the same, and an application for a culture material using the same. The biodegradable multi-filament false-twisted yarn according to the present invention is obtained by the false twisting multiple filaments made from a biodegradable polymer material. By giving the multi-filament false-twisted yarn made from a biodegradable polymer material additional bulkiness of from 150 to 1,000 parts % in addition to the inherent bulkiness and outstanding feeling of softness of false-twisted yarns, the false-twisted yarn of the present invention allows cell culturing in the bulky structure and can suitably be used in cell delivery or drug delivery.

The three-dimensional porous support body is porous due to the network structure of the circular knitwork due to the 10-150 µm pores contained in the biodegradable multifilament false twist yarn, and also has superior internal connectivity due to the extra bulk of 150-1000% imparted to the biodegradable multifilament false twist yarn that is fixedly inserted into the circular knitwork.
