    Abstract: PURPOSE: An FRP concrete composite pile connection apparatus is provided to connect FRP concrete composite piles with high strength and to prevent loss of parts at the joints of the FRP concrete composite piles. CONSTITUTION: An FRP concrete composite pile connection apparatus comprises an upper connection member(110), a lower connection member(120), and a coupler(130). The upper connection member is integrally formed on the bottom of an upper FRP concrete composite pile(P1). The lower connection member is integrally formed on the top of a lower FRP concrete composite pile(P2). The coupler is bonded to the upper and the lower connection member with an adhesive.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A precast end segment for a continuous bridge, a manufacturing method of a girder using the same, and a construction method of a bridge using the same are provided to effectively resist a concentrated load by manufacturing the girder using high-strength concrete. CONSTITUTION: A precast end segment(110) for a continuous bridge comprises an upper flange(111), a web(112), and connection holes(118). The upper flange is formed in a horizontal plate shape. An outer end(115) and an inner end(116) are integrally formed on the web. The outer end is downward extended to the bottom of the upper flange. The inner end has a narrower width than the outer end. Connecting bars(114) are protruded from the inner end surface of the inner end of the web. The connecting holes penetrate through the outer end of the web in the longitudinal direction of a girder. Connectors(117) are inserted into the connecting holes.

    Abstract: A process and a set of equipment for reactivating spent activated carbon onto which pollutants were adsorbed. The present process comprises subjecting the activated carbon to be reactivated in a mixed solution consisting of ethanol, sodium hydroxide solution and water to effectuate the desorption of the pollutants adsorbed on the activated carbon. The equipment includes (A) a mixing tank for mixing given amounts of water, ethanol and sodium hydroxide solution which are supplied from the respective receptacles thereof; (B) a reactivation reactor for receiving the mixed solution from the mixing tank and subjecting the spent activated carbon filled therein to the mixed solution to effect the desorption of the pollutants adsorbed on the spent activated carbon, wherein the reactivation reactor includes a unit for regulating temperature of the mixed solution; and (C) a storage tank for receiving the reactivated carbon.
