Abstract: The holder for a mat comprises strips with a bead and corner connections which can be connected to form a frame so that by cutting the strips to the desired length. The corner connections can be in the form of corner pieces with a corner bead and a corner angle which fits into the bead opening. The corner piece and angle can be made in one piece. The visible surface of the bead can be provided with a metallic insert. The strips can be mitre-cut and then connected by the corner angle. The edges of the strip can be tapered off to level with the mat and surrounding carpet floor to prevent danger of tripping.

Abstract: The locking mechanism has a locking pin with flat handle for its rotation. Other end of pin has ratchet notches for engaging with ratchet sleeve for snap fit locking. The arrangement cannot be opened from outside by unauthorised persons. It is suitable for locking of working surfaces, wardrobe doors and for furniture doors in camping vehicles. The mechanism can be made from plastics to prevent corrosion. A tube acts as guide within the wall, and this tube (8) has collar (10). The lock has wedge arrangement (11) preventing rotation. The end notches of pin (1) are held by snap fit in sleeve with ratchet hooks. All parts of locks are made from plastics especially by injection moulding. The guide sleeve (8) has external screw thread for clamping nut (14).
