Suitable processing is performed considering a case where a confirmation notification of participation in group communication or other data communication was sent, but the notification is delayed and data communication has already ended when the notification arrives at the other party. The present communication apparatus includes a communication unit 2 for transmitting/receiving data, an input unit 3, and a control unit 7 which, when start of data communication is input from said input unit 3, sends a confirmation notification of participation of the data communication to a plurality of destinations, performs data communication with destinations which reply when receiving at least one reply with respect to the confirmation notification of participation , and performs data communication after adding other destination even after the start of the data communication when receiving a reply from the other destination, wherein when ending the data communication, the control unit 7 makes the communication unit 2 transmit an end notification of the data communication to another party from which a reply for the confirmation notification of participation is not obtained among destinations to which the confirmation notification of participation was transmitted.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication terminal equipment for regulating an incoming call, when the incoming call cannot be responded to and reporting a stoppable position to a driver, and to provide a communication method. SOLUTION: In the communication terminal equipment 1 in a vehicle driving mode, an incoming call regulation part 174 transmits a prescribed message to the incoming call detected by an incoming call detection part 172 and disconnects a line. Furthermore, the incoming call from the caller is regulated. When there is an incoming call again from the caller, a control part 17 reports incoming call information to the user, and the control part 17 cancels the regulation of the incoming call from the caller and simultaneously cancels the vehicle driving mode, when it is decided that it is in a stop state on the basis of information from a car navigation system 2. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device and a control method thereof that can meet user's intentions as much as possible by enabling the user's processing as much as possible while avoiding wrong processing to abnormal inputs. SOLUTION: The portable electronic device comprises a sensor element group of a plurality of continuously arranged sensor elements, a buffering means for storing position identification signals identifying sensor element positions of contact detection in accordance with output signals from the sensor element group, and a release signal representing the absence of new contact detection for a predetermined time after the last contact detection of the sensor element group, and a control part 110 for monitoring changes in the position identification signals between the first contact detection of the sensor element group and the input of the release signal to determine changes in contact detection position and executing a process depending on the determination.
