PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device capable of stably ejecting ink from a nozzle for a top pixel for ejection after non-ejected pigments are continued.SOLUTION: When all gray scale values of driving waveform selection data (ii) of images of N-lines stored in a line buffer 29 are 0, and the gray scale value of the driving waveform selection data (ii) of an image at N+1th line transmitted to the line buffer 29 is not 0, a selector 30 selects a third driving waveform (3) which performs only shaking of a meniscus without performing ejection of ink as a driving waveform of images of N lines stored in the line buffer 29, and selects a fourth driving waveform (4) or a fifth driving waveform (5) which is a driving waveform for a top pixel for ejection corresponding to the gray scale of each pixel as a driving waveform for an image at a 11th line.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink for inkjet recording apparatus, which suppresses the volatilization of a solvent in the ink after ejecting no ink from a recording head for a while and ink ejection defective in formation of images after ejecting no ink for a while and can suppress ink viscosity change after exposed in a high temperature condition for a long term, and to provide a method for forming images.SOLUTION: There is provided an ink for inkjet recording apparatus, which contains water, a pigment, a resin, glycerol, 1,3-propanediol and an organic solvent, wherein the resin has a weight-average molecular weight of 30,000-150,000, the content of the resin in the ink is 1.5-6.0 mass% with respect to the mass of the ink, the total content (P+Q) of the content of the glycerol (P) and the content of the 1,3-propanediol (Q) in the ink is 15-40 mass% with respect to the mass of the ink, and the mass ratio (P/Q) is 0.25-1.00. Further, the images are formed in the inkjet recording apparatus by using the ink.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which an image having a desired image density can be formed while suppressing strike-through during printing, color bleeding between ink having different colors, and occurrence of image pollution due to offset, even in a case when printing is conducted at a high-speed by using a line head type inkjet recording apparatus.SOLUTION: In an image forming method performed by an inkjet recording apparatus which conducts printing using two or more kinds of ink which contain a pigment dispersion containing a pigment and a resin, an organic solvent, and water, printing is conducted by ejecting the ink having thickening constants within a prescribed range in sequence from recording heads in the increasing order of the thickening constants, wherein each thickening constant is obtained by a prescribed process from the ink under a mass drying rate of 10 and 35 mass%.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method that can suppress image irregularities when forming an image after ink is not be ejected from a recording head for a while, and can form the satisfactory image with a satisfactory print density, without causing a medium to be recorded to be contaminated by offset.SOLUTION: When the image is formed by a line head type inkjet recording apparatus including two or more recording heads where two or more inks are used, and an ejection part to eject the medium to be recorded, the image is formed by ejecting the inks having two or more colors in a specific order as a reference of a resin acid value, wherein the inks include pigment, resin, water, and organic solvent, and the resin acid value has a specific range.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink for inkjet recording devices, having the good filling property of the ink to an inkjet head and capable of well ejecting an ink droplet from the inkjet head even in the case of forming an image after ejecting no ink droplets from the inkjet head for a while, a preservation liquid usable for combination with the ink and an image forming method using the ink.SOLUTION: A diol compound is added to an ink for inkjet recording device, having a predetermined viscosity at 25°C or a preservation liquid for an inkjet head. The diol compound comprises a block comprising ethyleneoxy groups or propyleneoxy groups of 5-15 repeating number and whose both terminal ends bonded with substituents containing an acetylene group or a phenylene group are an alcohol.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an image which enables any image disturbance to be inhibited when forming an image after no ink has been discharged out of a recording head for a while, and then a quality image to be formed with favorable print density without contamination of recording media caused by offset.SOLUTION: In this line head system-based inkjet recording device 100, four color inks such as cyan, yellow, magenta and black are used, where values of pigment content and masses of resin/pigment are defined within a predetermined range. For the ink discharged out of a recording head 11a of the first color, values of free resin mass/resin shall be defined by 0.10 or more and under 0.40, in total mass for the ink discharged out of recording heads 11b/11c of the second and third colors, the values shall be defined by 0.05 or more and under 0.40, and for the ink discharged out of a recording head 11d of the fourth color, the values shall be defined by 0.05 minimum and 0.10 max.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ink for an inkjet recording device which forms an excellent image while suppressing the occurrence of offset.SOLUTION: The ink for inkjet recording device is prepared by incorporating water, a pigment dispersion containing pigment and a resin, and an organic solvent having ≤5g/100g water solubility in water at 20°C; and adjusting the ink in such a manner that the mass of free resin in the ink is ≤0.5 mass% per the mass of ink. The solvent having ≤5g/100g water solubility in water at 20°C is preferably one or more kinds selected from among 2-butyl-2-ethyl-1,3-propanediol, 2,4-diethyl-1.5-pentanediol and 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol.
