Abstract: Operating system for a sectional door (1) comprising a gear motor (6) housed in a box (13) with flattened configuration suitable to be positioned adjacent to the horizontal shaft (7) on which there are wound torsion springs for the balancing of the sectional door (1), substantially at the same level as such horizontal shaft (7). The drive carrier (4) of the sectional door (1) may be configured to be connected to the upper panel (2) of the door selectively at one end thereof or at the opposite end, and the guide (5) of the carrier (4) can be installed in two mutually alternative positions rotated by 180°.
