Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe an inline demulsification system (400, 430) including an inline flow conditioner (402,410) for separating a multiphase fluid into a liquid phase (420) and a gas phase (422), wherein the liquid phase (420) includes an emulsion; and an ultrasonic wave device (404), provided downstream from the flow conditioner (402, 410), including one or more ultrasonic probes (442) for emitting ultrasonic waves (452) towards the multiphase fluid, wherein the ultrasonic waves (452) demulsify at least a portion of the emulsion. Embodiments of the present disclosure also describe related systems and methods.

Abstract: Embodiments include a multiphase flowmeter system (300). The multiphase flowmeter system (300) may include a first inline flow conditioner (310) for reducing a slip velocity between a liquid phase and a gas phase of a multiphase fluid, a flowmeter for measuring a flow rate of the multiphase fluid, a second inline flow conditioner (350) for separating the liquid phase and the gas phase of the multiphase fluid, a non-radioactive sensor system for measuring one or more of a gas void fraction of the multiphase fluid and a water-cut of the multiphase fluid, and a processor (480) for computing one or more flow rates of the multiphase fluid. Embodiments further include methods of measuring one or more flow rates of a multiphase fluid and other related methods, apparatuses, devices, and systems.

Abstract: A method and device for determining the flow rate of the wet gas using real-time THz imaging and for determining the flow rate of solid contaminants in oil and gas pipelines using real-time Tera Hertz (THz) imaging is disclosed. A THz imaging device for real-time multiphase flow measurement comprises a THz imaging subsystem having a THz source and an imaging capturing a captured image. Wherein the imaging having at least a two dimensional array of pixels, wherein the multiphase flow may comprise at least one of oil, water, gas and solid contaminants. Further, a method for real-time measurement of a wet gas flow of a gas is disclosed. The flow of gas comprising at least one of a fluid phase or solid contaminants in the gas flow. The method comprises at least the steps of using a THz subsystem on the gas flow to acquire a captured image and further processing the captured image to determine the flow rate of the flow of gas.

Abstract: Electrical Tomography (ET) Images of an object can be generated based on features extracted during an excitation cycle. For example, a method described herein can include selecting, from a plurality of electrodes attached to the object, a first pair of electrodes. The method can include exciting the first pair of electrodes during a first excitation cycle. Additionally, the method can include generating an analog signal by performing measurements across remaining pairs of electrodes of the plurality of electrodes during the excitation cycle. The method can include generating the digital signal based on an analog to digital conversion of the analog signal. Further, the method can include extracting, during the excitation cycle, features based on the digital signal. The method can include generating an ET image associated with the object based on the features.
