Abstract: A disposal system utilizing a direct injection of water for an amount of time to sufficiently sanitize a chamber of the disposal system. The disposal system includes a chamber coupled to a drain of a sink at a first end of the chamber, and to a drainpipe at a second end of the chamber. A cutting mechanism, such as a rotary cutting blade, is positioned within the chamber near a floor of the chamber. A fluid-injection unit, such as a flange attachment, coupled to the first end of the chamber and the drain of the sink, includes a plurality of nozzles for introducing a fluid in a variety of streams in different directions to reach substantially an entirety of the chamber. The flange attachment can also include a water line attachment for connecting to a water line, with an optional ozone generator upstream from the disposal system.

Abstract: In one embodiment, the present disclosure is directed to a bathroom mirror lighting system comprising a mirror, a light source, a sensor, and a control circuit operably coupled to the light source and the sensor. The control circuit receives a sensor signal from the sensor indicative of at least one of a user's distance from the sensor, a user's position, a user's posture, a motion of the user towards or away from the sensor, or a task being performed by the user. The control circuit then transmits a control signal to the light source causing the light source to alter its light output based on the sensor signal from the sensor.

Abstract: A sink system is provided. The sink system is configured for coupling within a recessed cabinet space. The sink system includes a cabinet module and a sink module coupled to an upper end of the cabinet module. The sink module includes a sink basin and a faucet. The sink system further includes a water delivery system configured to receive a flow of water from a utility line and selectively provide the flow of water to the sink module based on a control signal received from a controller. The controller may be a wired or wireless puck that is positioned near the sink basin. The water delivery system may further include a water filtration system, and the digital control valve may provide the flow of water to the water filtration system before the flow of water is provided to the sink module.

Abstract: A sink system with various features that may provide improved functionality for kitchens and associated kitchen systems, particularly with regard to a user experience within a “smart” kitchen environment. In general, a sink system includes one or more sink basins integrated into a cabinet or housing, and a faucet coupled to the sink. The sink system can include a produce washing station in a second basin. The sink system can include smart features including audiovisual features for controlling various features of the sink systems. The sink system can also include a beverage or hydration station feature in which water can be customized for a user or for a desired end use of the water by the user. For example, flavors, vitamins, minerals, carbonation, filtration, instant hot, chilled, coffee, ice, and cocktails can be added into the water and dispensed by the sink system.

Abstract: A sink system includes a sink basin and a disposal system. The disposal system includes a first inlet coupled to the sink basin, a second inlet fluidly coupled to a second fluid source, and a garbage disposal configured to receive a first flow of fluid from the sink basin via the first inlet and receive a second flow of fluid from a second fluid source via the second inlet. The sink basin delivers a flow of used water to the disposal system and the second fluid source delivers a flow of clean water to the disposal system.
