Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent suction of water and air by detecting that the volume of water separated from the diesel oil in a water collecting tank is above a warning threshold and actuating an electric draining pump at engine start-up. CONSTITUTION: Diesel oil G in a tank 1 is driven by a diesel oil extraction pump 4 to circulate in a supply pipe 2, a sink tank (water collecting tank) 3 and a return pipe 6, and supplied to a diesel engine M by a diesel engine injection pump 5. At that time, as a second switch 13 is opened by a an ignition key 14, a draining pump 9 is not actuated so that a non-return valve 11 is closed and no outside air 10 is sucked. When the engine M is actuated, the second switch 13 is closed by the key 14. When the boundary surface S of the water E in the water collecting tank 3 is above a warning threshold it is detected by a floater 7. A first switch 8 is closed. The draining pump 9 is driven to drain water. When actuation is finished, the switch 13 is opened. Thus, it is possible to prevent water or air from being sucked into the engine.
