Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector being used for electric connection of a flexible component to a printed wiring board, and having its improved holding. SOLUTION: An electric connector 30 comprises an upper portion housing 32, a contact housing 34, a contact portion 36, expandable leg members 38, and support elements 40. At first, a flexible component 10 is accurately assembled between the upper housing and a contact housing using ranging supports 50, and next, this assembly is accurately fitted to a wiring board 20 by expandable leg members and the support elements.
