Abstract: PURPOSE: To collect a predetermined amt. of a liquid sample simply, rapidly and accurately by controlling the movable part of a piston by an electronic control system to stop the same at a desired position and sliding a knob displacement measuring system connecting the displacement of a knob to the control system of the piston. CONSTITUTION: A piston 9 is moved by a motor 11 and transmission mechanisms 12, 13 to be stopped at a desired position by an electronic control system 34. A knob 3 slides reciprocally within a body 1 but the movement of the piston 9 is controlled on the basis of the displacement of the knob by a knob displacement control system 25. The piston 9 in the body 1 is moved and a liquid is sucked in a pipette from a lower end cylinder 2 to be discharged.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make a tip as a metering part easily and rapidly replaceable and to make a pipette more easily usable than pipettes of the same kind by reducing the force required for pressing a remover by a level mechanism. CONSTITUTION: A frame having a handle 1 and an ejection part 2 is provided thereon with the remover 5 movable along the frame in order to project the tip 3 fitted to the bottom end of the frame from the frame. An arm 7 for moving the remover 5 along the frame is disposed as the extension part of the top end of the remover 5. The level mechanism 14 is connected to the arm 7. The level mechanism 14 causes the arm 7 and the remover 5 to be downwardly pushed in order to remove the tip 3 in such a manner that the force necessary for pressing is smaller than the force necessary for opening the tip 3 from the frame.
