Abstract: The present disclosure provides a novel flame retardant and synergist additive composition including at least one phosphorus-containing flame retardant and at least one metal hypophosphite. as described herein. The presently disclosed combination of additives exhibit excellent flame retardant performance in thermoplastic polymers. while also resulting in excellent processing stability and mechanical properties.
